Services offered here are optional and can be paid in cash at the bank counter, available in the visa application centres.

Premium Service Lounge

The VFS Global premium service lounge facilities are available at the visa application centre in Dhaka. The premium lounge service includes:

  •  Separate lounge with personalized service by dedicated staff;
  •  Refreshments;
  •  Faster submission of applications at the visa application centre;
  •  SMS alert on the status of your application;
  •  Use of photo booth (if required);
  •   Photocopying service for your documents ( Complimentary for up to 20 pages)

Important note: Your visa will be processed and decided by UK Visas and Immigration. Use of the premium service lounge does not affect the processing time of your application. All applicants are requested to o follow the instructions available on the application process on our how to apply page.

What does it cost?

The premium service lounge facilities cost BDT 4245 including taxes. This charge is in addition to the visa application fee.

Bank counter

You can pay the visa application fee, in cash, at the visa application centre. Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) counter is located in all visa application centres for this purpose. The Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) will levy a service charge of BDT 441 (inclusive of taxes) for this facility.

Priority Visa Service

This service from UK Visas and Immigration will expedite the processing of a visa application and the return of documents.

Eligibility - The following categories of customers may request use of this service:

  • All visitor visa applicants ( excluding overseas domestic workers)

What does it cost?

The priority visa service is optional and costs GBP 184 (BDT 21074) as per the local currency equivalent to latest consular rate of exchange) in addition to the standard visa fee.

Processing times

Choosing to use the Priority Visa service moves the application to the front of the queue. UKVI aim to process a decision within 7 working days

All customers applying for PVs are asked to ensure that copies of documents/passports provided in support of their application are provided on good quality A4 size paper. This will facilitate the scanning of these documents. Failure to do this may result in delays to their application”.

*Please note:

  • Priority Visa Service is not available for customers applying visas for Overseas Territories and Dependencies (including the Channel Islands).
  • Priority Service should be availed at the time of application submission

    Important note: Using the priority visa service does not guarantee that your visa application will be successful. All applicants must meet the requirements of the UKs Immigration Rules. The priority visa service fee will not be refunded if the visa is refused or, in exceptional circumstances, takes longer than the processing times set out above.

Settlement Priority Visa:

  • Settlement visa applications and their dependent applications submitted at Bangladesh.
  • Settlement dependents can also apply for this service at the same time and will be required to pay an additional Settlement Priority Visa Service fee. The fee for this service is BDT 63109 per customer, in addition to the visa fee. With this service, the settlement application moves to the front of the queue.

Please note that there is a limited allocation of priority slots each day. Customers are advised to schedule an online appointment. Customers with standard online appointment may avail priority service without separate appointment only if there are unallocated slots available.

Prime Time Service (Only in Dhaka)

The Prime time appointment service is mainly aimed to facilitate working professional and business executives who would prefer to apply outside of their own normal working hours. Prime time appointment bookings allow applicants to make an appointment at the Dhaka visa application centre at a convenient time, outside of normal business hours at a cost of BDT 8590 for each applicant in addition to the standard visa fee. Prime time appointments will be available on Monday and Thursday 17:00 to 19:00.

How to apply for the service

** This service will not be available in the month of Ramadan

Important: This service does not imply or guarantee in any way that applicants using the prime time service will have a faster turnaround time or be successful in their visa application. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK immigration rules.

Please Note: The Premium Lounge Service and Priority Visa are not available in conjunction with the Prime Time appointment service. Please request to the Visa Application Centre to avail any of these two services.

KIOSK Service

The Kiosk facilities are available at the visa application centres in Dhaka & Sylhet. Applicants with no access to a computer connected to the internet and printer can arrange in advance contacting their nearest application centres either in Dhaka or Sylhet to schedule an appointment.

On availing VFS Kiosk services, applicants will have the option to fill up the online Visa Application Form and also to take a print out of the Form and Appointment Letter. Full instructions on how to access the website and submit an application form will be available in the respective centres.

The IT (KIOSK) service will cost BDT 172 for the first 30 minutes and then BDT 85 for each subsequent 15 minutes, with printing charged at BDT 35 per page.

KIOSK service will be available Sunday to Thursday at below hours.

SMS service

VFS Global is pleased to be able to offer an SMS service which updates customers in Bangladesh on the progress of their UK visa applications. The easy to use SMS service sends an automated message to the applicant's mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process. This is followed up with an automated email message to the applicants email account informing them of the status of their visa application. The SMS text is available in English only.

This service can be purchased for BDT 245 (inclusive of VAT) at the time a customer submits the visa application. The SMS application form can be downloaded in the comfort of your home and should be filled in before arriving at the visa application centre.

Note: This value added service is available in Bangladesh (Local SMS only). Please read the SMS disclaimer carefully before applying for this service.

Photo copy services

Photo copy Photo copier facility BDT6 / per copy Application centres in Dhaka and Sylhet

Addition: All customers are advised that at the time of application submission, please submit the original and a photo copy or all documents including all the pages of the passport. You may also avail the photocopy service available at the VAC.

USER PAY VAC (Mandatory Only in Sylhet)

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) have implemented changes to the User Pays Visa Application Centre (VAC) Network. Applicants in Sylhet will need to pay GBP 55 (BDT 6299) service charge along with (over and above) paying their visa fee

You do not have to pay this fee if you are exempt from the visa application fee (Only for EEA-Dependent applicant).

The changes UK Visas and Immigration are making are part of longer term strategy to increase the number and range of different ways that people overseas can apply for visas to the UK.

Walk - in without an appointment

Customers who need to travel urgently or who can’t book an appointment for their preferred date or time, can pay extra to get a walk in appointment. This service is also available for those who turn up late for their appointments.

If you have already applied online and booked an appointment then you must cancel any existing appointments before using this service.

Charges applicable are BDT 3980 per applicant

Form Filling Assistance

This service provides customers with assistance in filling out the visa application form on the AccessUK website. Staff will read out the questions on the form, and will record the answers verbatim on behalf of the customer. Customers will need to provide an email id for registration on the portal in order to manage their application and will need to answer all the questions on the form in order to apply.  Staff will not be able to answer questions on an applicant’s behalf or fill in questions based on assumptions.

Charges applicable are BDT 1545 per applicant.

Group appointment booking

Customers travelling in a group can use this service to ensure the whole group can apply at the same visa application centre at a particular time and day. This optional service is extended to all groups including tour operators, large families, conferences etc.

There is no restriction on the minimum size of the group.

This service is available at all Visa Application Centres.


Certification allows you to, hold on to your original documents. You need to bring your original documentation to show to our staff along with coloured photocopy of the documents. A coloured photocopy is endorsed and sent to the decision hub along with the application.

“ Tier 2,4 and 5 applicants are required to submit originals of documents as specified under the Immigration rules and customers to note that should British High Commission require, you may be contacted to present the original document”

Translation Service

Translation Service allows the commercial partners to translate applicants’ supporting documents from local language in to English. The document and the translation will both need to be submitted when making an application. This service assists and allows the applicants to get documents translated from the VAC premise itself.

As per UK VISA process the document submitted at the VAC has to be in English however there are some countries where the documents are in local language and thus need to be translated in English.

This service at the VAC allows the applicant to get the document translated with the VAC itself. This service emerges from the fact that all documents submitted at by the applicant needs to be in English. At times the visa applicants come to these VAC’s without translated copies and hence applicants themselves need to go out and search for translators in the vicinity. By offering this service the applicants will save time and complete the application process right away

  • Types of Translation
    • Simple Translation:

      Documents translated in simple translation are ID cards, driving licenses

    • Complex Translation:

      Documents translated in complex form which pertain to legal contracts, housing agreement copies etc. and for the simple type are priced as follows -

Application and Document Checks

Have your completed application checked by VFS staff before it is sent to UKVI for processing.

Customers who have completed and printed their application form can pay an additional fee to have the documents checked by VFS staff before it is sent to UKVI for processing. Staff shall check that documents are complete as per the checklist provided by UKVI before sending it for processing.

If VFS staff find that there are missing documents, customers will have the option to submit these by email after their appointment, within 7 working days. Using the ‘ application and document checks ’ service does not imply or guarantee that applications will be successful.

Charges applicable are BDT 515 per applicant

This service is available at all Visa Application Centres.


Customers in Chittagong will be able to have their documents delivered to the VFS VAC located at

This service costs an additional fee of BDT 2205/- for the Principal Applicant and an additional BDT 555/- (inclusive of Service tax) for each family members of the same household.  The number of additional applicants per family should not exceed 3 members. This means that the 4th additional applicant will considered as an individual Principal Applicant.

Door to Door Courier Service

Applicants in Dhaka city can now avail ‘Door to Door Courier’ service to get their passports delivered at preferred location with an additional cost. Cost for first applicant is BDT 2205/-. Charge for each additional dependent applicant (up to 3) at the same address is BDT 555/-.

This service covers only the following areas of Dhaka Metropolitan City - Kalabagan ,Lalmatia, Dhanmondi ,Mohmmadpur, Shukrabad,Mirpur,Mirpur DOHS ,Gushan-1 & 2 ,Niketan, Banani, Banani DOHS ,New DOHS, Mohakhali ,Baridhara ,Baridhara DOHS ,Basundhara,Nikunja 1 & 2 & ,Uttara.

Flexi Hours Passport Collection

This service enables you to pick up your processed application outside the working hours of the visa application centre.

This service is available in Dhaka on Monday and Thursday from 16:30 – 18:30.

Charges applicable are BDT 805 per applicant.

Keep My Passport When Applying

Frequent travellers and those applying for two visas at the same time will now be able to use the Keep My Passport When Applying service. This user-pay service allows customers to keep their passports during the processing period.

Customers simply need to apply for their visa as normal and then while at the Visa Application Centre (VAC) they can pay to use the service and submit copies of each page of their passport with the application.

Once their visa application has been processed applicants will be contacted by VFS and will need to submit their passports at the VAC in order to get their visas.

This service is helpful for those who need to travel regularly on their passport while also needing to apply for their UK visa. It also allows those combining a trip to the UK with Europe or the USA to apply for both visas at the same time.


  • Who can use the service?

    This service is open to all visa applicants; however it cannot be used by those who purchase the Priority Visa (PV) service.

  • How much does the service cost?

    The Keep My Passport When Applying service will cost BDT /- 5841 per applicant.

  • How long will it take to get my visa?

    Your visa application will be considered in the normal queue and within UKVI’s standard 15 working day processing times. Once a visa decision has been reached the applicant will need to submit their passport at the VAC and will have the passport returned within 3 working days.

Courier Service to Sheffield for Settlement Applications

Customers in Bangladesh will now be able to send their supporting document to Sheffield, UK.


This service is for applicants who have already applied and have printed out their application form. Applicants wanting to avail this service during their visit the Visa Application Centre may inform the submission officer at the counter.

Settlement Scanning Service

This service assists applicants to scan all documents and send directly to the Decision Making Centre at Sheffield. This is an optional service available at all UK Visa Application Centres and can be availed for 800 BDT per applicant. With this service you can retain your original documents while your application is being decided.

The Settlement scanning service provides an option for the applicant to purchase the scanning to Sheffield and send documents electronically.

You can avail this service for 800 BDT and it is available at all UK Visa Application Centres in Bangladesh

Document Scanning Assistance

For those using this service, we will assist with preparing, sorting and arranging supporting documents according to the bar code separators to make it easy to scan your documents.

This service is available at all visa application centres. The price for this service is BDT 400 per applicant.
